This weekend, in addition to the Creative City Project, downtown Orlando will be the setting for a man being shot out of a cannon.
It’s part of Captain Morgan‘s “Cannon Blast Bar Crawl,” to promote their new Cannon Blast variety. Cannon Blast features a blend of Caribbean rum and unique bold spices, providing Captain Morgan drinkers with a blast of citrus sweet flavor, followed by a spark of unexpected heat. The product’s innovative packaging includes a cannonball shaped bottle that glows in the dark when featured with a black light.
When The Globe closed, many wondered what Wall Street Plaza would replace it with. Wonder no more.
Hooch now occupies that corner building, and it features craft beer, one-of-a-kind cocktails, and house batched moonshine. Happy hour is from 4pm-7pm.
It also features a small bar menu comprised of wings served with your choice of sauce, buckets of fries, tater tots, beer-battered onion rings, and funnel cake fries (for your sweet tooth), and several kinds of flat breads.
The place is lined with TVs, making a great place to catch a game.
Hours are 4pm-2am Monday through Friday, and 11am-2am Saturday and Sunday. Food is served until 11pm daily.
Now this is an event Capt. Jack Sparrow would love.
On Saturday, September 18, Wall Street Plaza is holding their sixth annual RumFest downtown. From 5pm until 8pm, only $20 gets you in and gets you unlimited rum drinks.
Adding to the Caribbean atmosphere (as if unlimited rum wouldn’t get you in the mood), WSP is bringing in Reggae artists Inner Circle. Their most famous song is “Bad Boys” (the theme from the TV show “Cops”), but their laid back island sound will have you jammin’ in no time.
Tickets can be bought in advance at WallStPlaza.net, and it’s advised that you don’t wait to get them at the door because they may be sold out.
Following the event will be the weekly block party.
