National Beer Day is tomorrow, April 7, and there are a variety of events and local breweries to enjoy a brew or two (or more).
This date was designated National Beer Day because on his day in 1933, President Franklin Roosevelt took the first step toward ending Prohibition and signed a law that allowed people to brew and sell beer as long as it remained below 4.0% alcohol by volume (ABV). Despite the low ABV, Americans were thrilled to be able to purchase beer for the first time in thirteen years.
