Less than a week after Walt Disney World raised their ticket prices, another Orlando theme park has announced their rates have gone up, too.

Discovery Cove Offering Florida Resident Rate Discounts this Fall

One of the most unusual parks in Orlando is Discovery Cove.

A sister park of SeaWorld Orlando, it allows guest to interact with animals in various pools throughout the property. It also offers opportunities to swim with tropical fish, rays, and even dolphins.

Just opened is the Freshwater Oasis, where guests can wander in the water-filled trails and meet marmoset monkeys and playful Asian otters.

It is a lot of fun and since attendance is capped at a low amount, you don’t encounter the crowds found at the other theme parks.

Florida Resident Discounts for La Nouba

One of my favorite theme park shows in Orlando is Cirque du Soleil’s La Nouba at Walt Disney World. From the amazing aerial work to the humorous clowns, this show just wows me every time I see it.

If you haven’t seen it yet, or just want an excuse to see it again, La Nouba has a special incentive. From now until October 23, 2010, Florida residents can purchase tickets for only $50.

This special discount is limited to six tickets per transaction, and is subject to availability. Proof of Florida residency and advance purchase required.

La Nouba is housed at the white tent-like building at Downtown Disney’s West Side. Performances are Tuesdays through Saturdays at 6pm and 9pm. Regular prices for tickets range from $71 to $124 for adults (plus taxes and service fees).

Purchase these Florida resident tickets at the box office, online (click on “Tickets & Info” then “Offers”) or via phone at 407-WDW-SEAT (939-7328).
