On Saturday, December 22nd, the House of Blues Orlando at Disney Springs played host to the 2018 edition Orlando Country Rocks. The emcee for the night was Sara Michaels from WPCV, 97 Country, in Lakeland. Her show, “On the Porch,” is an integral part of Central Florida’s country music landscape.
On the evening of October 27th, Hard Rock Live at Universal Studios Orlando CityWalk was the site of the much-awaited return to Central Florida of Alice in Chains, and it was an incredible night.
Every year Wendy Davis, Chef/Owner of Poca’s Hottest Hot Sauces, holds a culinary competition where the contestants must use one of her hot sauces in their entry. This year was the 7th annual cook-off and it was held at Will’s Pub on Sunday, April 29.
In conjunction with the cook-off this year, Poca’s Hottest held a competition for the next band to have a hot sauce named after them.
Saturday, April 21st, radio station WJRR (101.1FM) hosted its 25th annual Earthday Birthday at the Central Florida Fairgrounds, and I was in attendance.
