TRON Lightcycle / Run is set to open April 4 at Walt Disney World, but starting tomorrow, March 20, visitors to Magic Kingdom may be able to catch a ride during the attractions soft opening phase.
The Details
From March 20 through April 2, Guests may have the early opportunity to experience TRON Lightcycle / Run during a limited soft open via virtual queue or purchase of individual Lightning Lane entry.
The Virtual queue opens at 7am daily, and again at 1pm daily, on Walt Disney World’s My Disney Experience app.
Know Before You Go
The attraction is located inside Magic Kingdom in Tomorrowland, adjacent to Space Mountain. A valid park reservation and admission for the same day are required at enter the park.
Disney has tester lightcycles out front to check for fit. There are some regular coaster-style seats with lap bars on select ride vehicle groups for those who cannot ride the lightcycles, including those with mobility issues (see photo below).
Before riding, be sure to store all bags and loose items in the new digitized lockers. This ride goes very fast and you don’t want to lose anything.
These complimentary lockers pair directly with your MagicBand, MagicBand+, or ticket media so you can easily lock and reopen your locker with a quick tap.
All items must be placed either in a locker before you board your Lightcycle, or in a small compartment located on the attraction vehicle that can hold items such as cellphones, glasses or wallets, for the safety of yourself and the other Guests.
