Garden Theatre in Winter Garden Presents Hands on a Hardbody Jan 29 – Feb 21

Hands on a Hardbody, the award-winning musical based on the documentary film of the same name, will be performed at the Garden Theatre in Winter Garden January 29 through February 21.

Hands on a Hardbody

The story focuses on ten contestants who vie for a “hardbody” truck in Longview, Texas. The last contestant who has his or her hands on the truck wins it. The truck is a Nissan “hardbody” pickup.

During the show, the lives of each contestant, along with the car dealer and a radio announcer are revealed during the “hardbody” contest.

The documentary was adapted into a musical commissioned by La Jolla Playhouse, featuring a book written by Doug Wright, with music by Trey Anastasio and Amanda Green.

Tickets are $25 to $33, for shows Thursday through Sunday, during the run. There is also an Industry night performance on February 8.

The Garden Theatre is located at 160 West Plant Street in Winter Garden. For more information, or to purchase tickets, visit gardentheatre.org.
