Cannes Short Film Festival to Screen Orlando Ballet Documentary Starting Sept 13 .. @OrlandoBallet #OrlandoArts

The Orlando Ballet documentary Sur Les Pointes

The Orlando Ballet documentary, Sur Les Pointes, has been chosen to screen as part of the Cannes Short Film Festival this weekend starting September 13.

Produced and directed by Full Sail alumni Nehir Onay, the film follows the Orlando Ballet and Creative Director Robert Hill through almost six and a half minutes of performance and behind-the-scenes footage, centering around the Bailamos! event at the Dr. Phillips Center in 2019.

The title, Sur les Pointes, is a classical ballet term that means β€œon the points” or on the tips of a dancer’s toes wearing pointe shoes.

The doc will screen with two other titles online, and costs $9 to view the trio. Viewers have 7 days to start watching from purchase, and 24 hours to finish once started.

Visit the screening page at eventive.org for more information.
