Aquatica Orlando Announces Florida’s First Dueling Water Slide to Debut in 2020 .. @AquaticaOrlando #RiptideRace

Aquatica Orlando announced Riptide Race

This afternoon, Aquatica Orlando announced Riptide Race, Florida’s first dueling water slide, will debut at the park in 2020.

According to the press release, riders will start atop a 68-foot tower. There, they will be able to grab a raft and take their mark in side-by-side racing lanes.

Each raft holds a team of two, so every rider will have a partner as they race at top speeds. Low walls will enable a full view of the competition.

Racers will navigate tight loops and accelerations through indoor and outdoor sections, speeding via nearly 650 feet of splashing sliding fun.

“Riptide Race will offer a ride experience you won’t be able to get anywhere else in Florida. Aquatica will be the first waterpark in the state to have a thrilling, and more importantly, dueling water slide,” said David Heaton, Aquatica Orlando vice president.

Riptide Race will have a height requirement of 42 inches, and will be conveniently located on the north side of the park next to Banana Beach Cook Out.

Aquatica Orlando hasn’t mentioned an exact opening date for the new water ride, but as soon as we hear of one, we’ll let you know. For more information on the park, visit AquaticaOrlando.com.
