Orlando Philharmonic and Full Sail University Join Forces for High-Tech “Symphony in HD” Fundraising Gala on May 31, 2013

orlphil-fullsailFor the second year, the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra will once again join forces with Full Sail University to present Symphony in HD: Live at Full Sail University, a high-tech concert gala to benefit the orchestra.

Set to take place May 31, the event will feature the full Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Music Director Christopher Wilkins, in a concert accompanied by animation, film, lighting effects and other visual elements created by students and faculty of Full Sail University.

It will be held at Full Sail Live (141 University Park Drive, Winter Park), starting at 6:30pm, with drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and a silent auction on Full Sail’s Hollywood-style film set, the Backlot.

At 8pm, guests will enter Full Sail Live to enjoy a three-course meal and a concert program entitled “Music of the Night,” featuring the full Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and guest appearance by former Broadway ‘Phantom,’ Davis Gaines, accompanied by visuals from Full Sail’s students and faculty.

The evening also includes a live auction and an outdoor post-concert party with Orlando Philharmonic musicians and Full Sail faculty.
