SeaWorld Orlando is once again transforming into the ultimate Halloween destination for families as Halloween Spooktacular returns on select dates from Aug. 29 through Nov. 1, 2026, this year will feature the beloved characters from Sony Pictures Animation’s “Hotel Transylvania” movie.

During this daytime event, which runs from noon to 8pm, families will be immersed in an underwater “fantasea” filled with trick-or-treating, dancing with sea fairies and pumpkin fish and sea-themed arts and crafts.
Kids are invited to come in costume, and there will be trick-or-treat stations, a sweet treat cookie decorating station (must purchase a cookie kit), and Penelope’s Party Zone with a live DJ and interactive crafts.

How do you get picked? When you get to the park, post a photo of yourselves in costumes at SeaWorld Orlando by noon on the park’s Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #SeaWorldSpooktacular and tag @SeaWorld.
A little after 12:15, a winner will be chosen and must redeem their Super Starfish of the Day prize that day.
SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular takes place from noon to 8pm during weekends in October (5-6, 12-13, 19-20 and 26-27) and is included with park admission.

New this year, Princess Penelope and her undersea friends invite guests to join the Spooktacular Dance Party, where children can dance along to a mix of line-dancing favorites as clouds of bubbles fill the evening air. The party will kick off at the front of the park every event night an hour before SeaWorld’s park closing time.
The last weekend, October 27-28, Jelly Belly artist in residence, Kristen Cumings, will use more than 10,000 Jelly Belly jelly beans to create a portrait of rockhopper penguins, reflecting SeaWorld’s all-new, Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin.
Halloween Spooktacular events are included with regular park admission to SeaWorld Orlando.
Weekends in October, guests can also take part in Count von Count’s Spooktacular Breakfast at the Seafire Inn restaurant. Enjoy a breakfast buffet with Count von Count, Elmo, and friends. Price is $24 for adults, and $14 for ages 2-9. It can be booked online, and SeaWorld Orlando admission is also required.

This is a very family-friendly event featuring a “sea theme” – of course, it being SeaWorld.
Kids are encouraged to attend in costume, and there will be 15 trick-or-treat stations sprinkled throughout the park. Also for the kids, Penelope’s Party Zone will feature a DJ and interactive games.
Characters will be available for photo opportunities, including Dolly Dolphin, Shivers the Polar Bear and Shamu plus pumpkin fish, mermaids, spider-crabs and penguins.
Spooktacular will be presented on October 6, 7, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28. Hours for the event are from noon to 8pm.
The best part is that Spooktacular is included with regular SeaWorld Orlando admission. It’s not a separate ticket event like the other theme park Halloween events.
However, if you want to give your younger children a big treat, SeaWorld will be offering overnight sleepovers for families near the giant aquariums built into the Manta roller coaster on select Spooktacular nights. For children in kindergarten through fifth grade, the sleepover includes a pizza dinner and breakfast. Cost is $78 per person, in addition to SeaWorld admission for that day. For $103, the sleepover ticket also includes next-day park admission. Event dates are Oct. 19, 20, 26 and 27. Call 1-800-406-2244 for reservations.
SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular at SeaWorld Orlando has daytime hours so even those who are afraid of the dark can still enjoy the Halloween fun.

Guests of all ages can also enjoy Halloween-themed shows like Sesame Street’s Countdown to Halloween Live Musical Stage Show.
SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular takes place every weekend in October: 1-2, 8-9, 15-16, 22-23, and 28-30. Hours are noon to 8pm and all festivities are included in regular park admission. There is also a special ticket for half-off a child admission with every adult one for a price of $81.99
