Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining month is a great opportunity to try out some of the city’s best restaurants, and I was recently invited to preview the Magical Dining menu at Urbain 40.
Chef Tim Keating (formerly of The Flying Fish at Walt Disney World) has crafted a delicious menu that pays homage to America’s melting pot influences, notably Italian and French.
If the carnivore in you loves a great steak, then you’ll want to head to Del Frisco’s on I-Drive (across from Pointe Orlando) to experience their limited-time Prime Pair menu.
We were recently invited to try out the menu, and walked away very happy.
The Prime Pair menu features a salad starter, an entree featuring the restaurant’s legendary crab cake plus your choice of second protein, and a side dish, all for only $59 per person.
Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining Month presented by American Express is kicking off the celebration with a preview week beginning August 24th and continuing through September 30th.
Now in it’s 13th year, Magical Dining shows off the city’s amazing culinary scene with over 100 restaurants participating with special three-course menus, all for the fixed price of $35. There are dishes to please every palate and every diet including gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan.
I had an opportunity to preview the menu from Bulla Gastrobar in Winter Park. Bulla features Spanish and Portuguese cuisine, and the Magical Dining menu did not disappoint.
As a Feld Entertainment Blogger Ambassador, CitySurfing Orlando was invited to enjoy the Monster Jam Triple Threat show at the Amway Center this weekend, and here is what we thought of it.
I recently joined several other bloggers to check out items from Marlow’s Tavern‘s summer menu, as well as a few guest faves, and it was a delicious afternoon.
Marlow’s Tavern is featuring a six-week Summer Celebration menu that includes:
The iconic musical RENT is celebrating 20 years with dates at the Dr Phillips Center for the Performing Arts through Sunday, June 10, 2018, and it’s a feast for senses.
A re-imagining of Puccini’s La Bohème, RENT follows an unforgettable year in the lives of seven friends struggling to follow their dreams without selling out. In the end, they realize the only thing that matters is love.
Every year Wendy Davis, Chef/Owner of Poca’s Hottest Hot Sauces, holds a culinary competition where the contestants must use one of her hot sauces in their entry. This year was the 7th annual cook-off and it was held at Will’s Pub on Sunday, April 29.
In conjunction with the cook-off this year, Poca’s Hottest held a competition for the next band to have a hot sauce named after them.
Yesterday at a business luncheon at Loew’s Sapphire Falls Resort, Visit Orlando announced the city had welcomed 72 million visitors to Central Florida during 2017.
It’s a historic milestone in the travel industry as Orlando became the first U.S. destination to surpass 70 million annual visitors.
Saturday, April 21st, radio station WJRR (101.1FM) hosted its 25th annual Earthday Birthday at the Central Florida Fairgrounds, and I was in attendance.
You might not think you can get good BBQ at Disney Springs, but thanks to the opening of The Polite Pig in April 2017, you now can.
I recently attended a beer and food pairing at the eatery, but they were nice enough to let me try a few other items, as well.
The Polite Pig is from the same people that brought you the outstanding Ravenous Pig and Cask & Larder, so I expected a quality selection of BBQ, and I wasn’t disappointed.
Last July, Margaritaville Resort Orlando broke ground and we recently were invited out to see the construction progress, plus tour four different cottage styles.
The huge 187-room Margaritaville Hotel is still under construction, but the framework is already in place. In addition to accommodations, dining, fitness center, wedding pavilion, and 2 pools (general and adult-only), it will feature 30,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
World of Beer is known for its beer selection – naturally with a name like that – but during a recent media event, I discovered their food is just as noteworthy.
I joined my friend Dawn of Come See Orlando as her guest at the downtown Orlando location, and enjoyed a sampling of items from the menu, including some new items.
They started us off with a German pretzel that was literally as big as our heads. Drenched in butter and salt, it was served with a stone-ground mustard and a brown ale beer cheese (normally extra, but worth the splurge), it was a great appetizer and paired well with several of the WOB beer selections.
This week, CSO visited Madame Tussauds Orlando to see its newest addition, Selena, the Queen of Tejano music.
Selena Quintanilla was one of the most celebrated Mexican-American entertainers of the 1990s, and ranks among the most influential Latin artists of all time.
Each year the Astronauts Memorial Foundation holds a ceremony at the Kennedy Space Center to remember the astronauts who gave their lives while serving to further the NASA mission of space exploration. It is generally held on the last Thursday of January, since many of the tragedies occurred around this time of year.
This year, the annual Day of Remembrance was held at the Astronauts Memorial Foundation building at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex (KSCVC), as well as at the Space Mirror Memorial.
LEGOLAND Florida recently kicked off its first ever LEGO NINJAGO Days weekend, and CSO was invited out on the first day to check it out.
Among the highlights was the premiere of a new 4D movie, “LEGO NINJAGO – Master of the 4th Dimension,” which featured the NINJAGO heroes in a new 12-minute adventure where they must learn to work together to escape a mind-bending dimension opened by one of Master Wu’s magic scrolls. Teamwork saves the day in this fun 4D experience!
