Out and About: LEGO Movie 4D A New Adventure is a Winner at LEGOLAND Florida

In 2014, the world fell in love with the hilarious LEGO Movie, myself included. This movie appealed to kids of all ages, telling the adventures of Emmet, an ordinary, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the key to saving the world, with his new friends.

But what happened after the events of that movie? In the new LEGOLAND Florida attraction, LEGO Movie 4D A New Adventure, we find out.

The approximately 13 minute movie finds the gang lured to a mysterious theme park, where they get entagled in an Evil Secret Plot concocted by new character Risky Business (voiced by actor/comedian Patton Oswalt), brother of movie villain President Business.

Together Emmet and his friends have to put their Master Builder skills to the test, which requires some help from the audience.

Returning to voice their iconic characters are actors Elizabeth Banks (Wyldstyle), Nick Offerman (MetalBeard), Charlie Day (Benny) and Alison Brie (Unikitty).

The movie is hilarious, and the kids in the audience of the World Premiere really enjoyed being a part of the movie. It does use some wind, water, and fog effects to use the story, but it didn’t seem to scare the littlest kids, so I would say this show is great for all ages. Even the big kids…I mean parents.

The LEGO Movie 4D A New Adventure was directed by Rob Schrab, who is making his feature film directorial debut with The LEGO Movie Sequel, set to open May 18, 2018. The attraction was developed in collaboration with LEGOLAND owner Merlin Entertainments Group and Warner Bros. Consumer Products, the attraction was created by Los Angeles-based Pure Imagination Studios with input from Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the talented writer-directors who brought The LEGO Movie to hilarious life, along with producer Dan Lin.

LEGO Movie 4D A New Adventure is now open, and included with admission to LEGOLAND Florida. For more information, or to purchase park tickets, visit legolandflorida.com.
