GeekyCon Fan Convention Takes Over Orange County Convention Center in Orlando July 30-Aug. 2

Thousands of self-proclaimed “geeks” will descend upon Orlando to celebrate their obsession with everything nerdy at the seventh annual GeekyCon, to be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando July 30-Aug. 2


Formerly known as LeakyCon, this fan convention is one of the largest and most recognized conventions for fans of fantasy films, television shows and young adult books.

Special guests include actors and writers from shows and movies including the Harry Potter films, “Jurassic World,” “Glee,” “Game of Thrones,” “Supernatural,” “Doctor Who,” “Veronica Mars,” “The Hunger Games,” “Fangirls,” “The Lizzie Bennet Diaries,” “Emma Approved,” as well as top young adult authors, YouTube personalities and musicians.

Attendees will have an opportunity to meet celebrities from their favorite movies and television shows, as well as authors of bestselling books.

There will also be special events, panel discussions, Q&A sessions, workshops, live performances, music concerts and a marketplace with a variety of vendors. For Potter fans, there is a special private event at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort July 29.

A day pass is $60; weekend passes range from $125 to $275. The Universal Orlando event is a separately ticketed event.
