Frozen Ever After Attraction Announced for Epcot in 2016

Walt Disney World has finally announced a name and initial details for the new “Frozen”-themed attraction at Epcot. It will be called “Frozen Ever After” and it is set to open in 2016.

We first reported a “Frozen”-themed attraction would be taking the place of the “Maelstrom” ride in the Norway Pavilion last year. Now we have some details to share with you.

“Frozen After Ever” will take guests through the kingdom of Arendelle, to the Winter in Summer Celebration where Queen Elsa embraces her magical powers and creates a winter-in-summer day for the entire kingdom.

Guests will also visit Elsa’s Ice Palace and the ice-blue world of the North Mountain along with other locations before returning to the Bay of Arendelle. New technology will also be added to help tell the story.

To accommodate this new attraction, the Norway Pavilion will be expanded, and the interior design of the Royal Sommerhus portion of “Frozen Ever After” will provide a place for guests to meet Anna and Elsa.

I really enjoyed “Maelstrom,” but “Frozen Ever After” sounds like it will be a lot of fun for families. Are you looking forward to this attraction?
