The 32nd Orlando Citrus Parade will take place in downtown Orlando at 10am on Saturday, December 29, 2012.

Track star and Olympic gold medalist Justin Gatlin will serve as grand marshal for the parade. He is a five-time Olympic medalist for the United States, and most recently took home bronze and silver in the London 2012 Olympics. Gatlin attended high school in Pensacola, Fla., and currently calls Orlando home. As grand marshal he will ride in the parade and also take part in the television broadcast.

That TV broadcast will be synicated nationally, and will feature reality stars Trista and Ryan Sutter, of the first season of “The Bachelorette,” as its hosts. They will provide live commentary from the grandstand area near Lake Eola Park.

In addition to its signature floats made of citrus fruit, the parade features spirited high school marching bands from throughout the nation, participating bowl game college marching bands, specialty units and other exciting performances.

Grandstand/broadcast area reserved seats (located on Rosalind Avenue adjacent to Lake Eola) are $28 per person, and available online or via the Florida Citrus Sports Ticket Office at 407-423-2476.

Otherwise, free seating is available curbside along the entire parade route, starting at 6am.
