Comic Artist Pia Guerra to Visit A Comic Shop in Winter Park

- Michelle Snow

Most comic book fans are familiar with the series Y: The Last Man.

Written by Brian K. Vaughan and illustrated by artist Pia Guerra, the comic tells the story of the only man to survive the apparent simultaneous death of every male mammal (barring the same man’s pet monkey) on Earth.

The comic ran for sixty issues via Vertigo Comics and received five Eisner awards.

If you’re a fan of the series, then you’ll want to be at A Comic Shop on February 25, 2011, as the store will be having a special appearance by Pia Guerra.

According to the shop, Guerra will do a Q&A about the series starting at 5:30pm, followed by an autograph session and a party with the artist.

Best of all, the whole event is free.

A Comic Shop is located at 114 S. Semoran Blvd in Winter Park. For more information, call them at 407-332-9636.
