Help Fund the Expansion of A Comic Shop and The Geek Easy in Orlando

A few weeks ago, A Comic Shop and its companion business, The Geek Easy, decided to seize the opportunity to renovate and expand.

The Geek EasyTo do this, they have turned to Indiegogo in hopes the community who enjoys these businesses, will help them achieve their goals. There are incentives and rewards for donations, based on the level of your donation, which start as low as $5.

Surely Orlando geeks can spare at least the price of a Starbucks visit to help out A Comic Shop and The Geek Easy with their plans for world domin…er… expansion plans.

A Comic Shop has won the title of “Best Comic Shop” seven times, and been nominated for an Eisner Award. The Geek Easy was opened next door in 2013, but is already well known for its geek trivia nights, concerts, and Friday Night Karaoke.

The Geek Easy Hosts Talking With Gods Screening and Director Q&A

A Comic Shop in Winter Park recently opened up an adjoining area to the store to hold screenings, game nights and general get-togethers.

The Geek Easy, as it is called, will be holding a special event screening this week of the new documentary, Talking With Gods.  It will take place Friday, November 19, at 9pm.

The film chronicles the life of legendary comic book writer Grant Morrison and director Patrick Meaney will be on hand for a Q&A session and DVD signing after.

The event will cost $5 for Geek Easy members and $8 for non-members. DVDs of the documentary will be available for purchase for $12.
