This weekend, on May 31, Orange County Animal Services held a special event called the Hot Dogs Cool Cats Adopt-a-Thon, to try to find homes for the animals in the shelter.
The shelter itself was already close to capacity, then they received 34 dogs from a dog fighting ring bust. So it was with extreme urgency that they needed to find homes for as many of the animals as they could.
It turned out to be a record setting day, as 140 dogs and cats were adopted out! Yay!!
There are still plenty that need home, though, so if you’re looking for a new four-legged family member, visit ocnetpets.com.
