Swamp Xista Makes Its Debut at Winter Park’s Stardust Video & Coffee Sept 17, 2026

Orlando’s Swamp Sistas band is undergoing a bit of a transformation (and name change), and will debut the new Swamp Xista line-up on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at Stardust Video & Coffee in Winter Park.

The debut will introduce Swamp Xista as an ensemble through an evening of songs, stories, and collaboration, with each artist bringing their own voice and musical perspective to the stage.

Swamp Xista grew out of years of musical collaboration through Swamp Sistas and, more recently, the Power Lines project. McKee, Arozqueta, and Robbins have been making music together through Swamp Sistas for about a decade, while McKee and Myers have been co-writing songs for almost as long. John David Williams came into the mix more recently.

As the five musicians worked together through Power Lines, McKee began to see the possibility of something more.

“Renee and Amy have been part of the Swamp Sistas family for years, and Jim and I have been writing together for almost as long. When John David came along, it felt like the missing piece to a puzzle that had just been plopped in front of us.” said McKee. “Through Power Lines, the five of us started working together more closely, and I realized I’d found this really magical combination of artists. Each is a singer-songwriter and musician in their own right, and somehow the five of us just make sense together.”

The event is also a benefit for Swamp Sistas La La Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that brings artists and communities together through collaborative music, creative experiences, and community partnerships.

Edan Archer will open the evening.

Tickets are offered at three levels:
$10 Community, $20 General Admission, and $50 Supporter.
