Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival Returns March 20-22, 2015

Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival 2015 poster by John CarolloThe Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival is one of the nation’s oldest, largest and most prestigious juried outdoor art festivals, and it returns to delight Central Florida art lovers the weekend of March 20-22.

Every year 225 national and international artists are selected to attend the show. Booths are set up in Central Park, and along Park Avenue, where over 350,000 visitors will enjoy the original works of art.

There will also be live entertainment throughout the festival, as well as food and drink for purchase.

2013 Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival to Take Place March 15-17

winterpark-sidewalkartfestArt lovers will be descending upon Winter Park the weekend of March 15-17, for the 2013 Sidewalk Art Festival.

The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival is one of the nation’s oldest, largest and most prestigious juried outdoor art festivals, and each year, it draws in more than 350,000 people over the course of the weekend.

Set up along Park Ave, visitors can stroll and check out the participating artist booths at their own pace. There will also be live musical entertainment from the likes of Steve Cole, Matt Shenk Band, Rich Walker Trio, Brian Simpson, and Jeff Kashiwa.

The best part is that it is totally free to attend.

Hours for the event are: Friday from 9am to 6pm; Saturday from 9am to 6pm; and Sunday from 9am to 5pm.

This is the 54th year the festival has been held, and it really is a fun outing for the whole family. For more information, please visit wpsaf.org.

The 52nd Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival Will Appeal to all Art Lovers

The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival is one of the nation’s most prestigious outdoor art festivals, and is one of the largest outdoor events held in Orange County drawing approximately 350,000 visitors during the three-day show.

The 52nd edition of this festival, which originated in 1960, will take place this weekend, March 18-20, 2011.

From over 1,100 artists who applied for space, only 225 were selected to exhibit during this art festival. They represent a multitude of artistic mediums, including clay, digital art, drawing/graphics, glass, jewelry, metal, painting, photography, and more.

In addition to the art, musical entertainment is supplied each day. Headliners include Rick Braun (Friday), Chieli Minnuci and Special EFX (Saturday), and Brian Simpson (Sunday).

The Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival takes place at Central Park (401 Park Avenue South) in Winter Park. The event is free to attend.

This weekend should be nice and sunny, but not too warm, making it perfect weather to check this out.
