Out and About: Nona Adventure Park Opens in Orlando @Nona_Adventure

CitySurfing Orlando's family writer and her kids checked out the new Nona Adventure Park in Lake Nona, and came back with this review.

When we heard the new Nona Adventure Park was opening last weekend, of course my family had to check it out.

It looks like a really fun place for families to play. They have a rope-climbing course, a climbing wall, an inflatable water obstacle course, and wire pull water skiing and wakeboard area.

Orlando Extreme Water Sports Festival Will Make Waves at Lake Ivanhoe on October 19, 2013

Lake Ivanhoe, near downtown Orlando, will be the site of the Orlando Extreme Water Sports Festival on Saturday, October 19.

Orlando Extreme Water Sports FestivalThis festival will feature the world’s best wakeboarders and skiers competing against each other in a day-long competition that will run from noon to 10pm.

There will be professional wakeboarding and waterskiing competitions for $40K in cash prizes, as well as wakesurf and wakeskate demonstrations. Blankets and low-folding chairs are welcome, but no coolers or pets.

Tickets for this family friendly event are $10 advance/$15 day of for adults, $5 advance/$8 day of for children ages 4-12. Free parking is located nearby at Lake Highland Prep (901 N. Highland Ave).
