Today is the day that Busch Gardens Tampa Bay opens their newest coaster, Cobra’s Curse, to the public.

The steel roller coaster, which is located in the Egypt area of the theme park, reaches a maximum speed of 40 mph and features an 80-foot snake statue. A 70-foot vertical lift takes riders within inches of its 3 foot-wide eyes and 4-foot-long fangs.

Universal Orlando Begins Seasonal Pricing on Tickets

Effective this week, Universal Orlando is charging higher prices at the gate for one-day tickets under their new Seasonal Pricing policy.

Normally one-day/one-park tickets are $105 for adults and $100 for children, but since the parks have entered their busysummer season, a one-day/one-park ticket at the gate will now set you back $119 for adults and $114 for children.

I recently visited the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal Orlando’s CityWalk for dinner prior to catching the Blue Man Group show next door. It’d been a few years since I’d eaten there, and I know the menu had undergone some changes since. This was the perfect opportunity to see if the food was as good as I remembered.

Upon arrival, we were immediately seated towards the back of the main floor. The restaurant was packed and noisy, but that’s to be expected given it’s location at the theme park.

The World Burger Tour returns to the Hard Rock Cafe, including the Orlando location, and will be available through June 30. The tour menu showcases international Local Legendary Burgers, which are created by chefs at each location to reflect the flavors of their city.

LEGOLAND Florida and Tampa Electric are partnering on a solar energy project that will produce both electricity and shade for the theme park’s visitors.

Beginning this spring, a canopy of solar panels will be installed over the resort’s preferred parking lot, adjacent to the theme park entrance.  Not only will this provide shade for morre than 600 vehicles, but it will produce enough electricity to power an estimated 250 homes annually.
