Celebrating its 25th season, the Orlando Shakespeare Theater will host the 2013-2014 Season Opening Gala on September 8, 2013.

The event will feature food and wine tastings from partners including Barnie’s Coffee Kitchen, Bubbalou’s BBQ, Dexter’s Restaurants of Orlando, Puff-n-Stuff Catering, Rosen Center Hotels, Rosen Shingle Creek, Seasons 52, Table Top Catering, and The Table Orlando.

Guests will also enjoy a sneak preview of The Taming of the Shrew, Shakespeare’s high-energy battle of the sexes with a western twang, which runs Sept. 11 through Oct. 6, 2013.

The event will also feature a live silent auction with a wide variety of items, and concludes with complimentary champagne, coffee, and dessert.

The Season Opening Gala will take place at John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center (812 East Rollins St., at Loch Haven Park), starting at 5pm.
