Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF presents Peter and the Starcatcher from December 2, 2015 – January 3, 2016 at the Lowndes Shakespeare Center.
Based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, Peter and the Starcatcher serves as a prequel to J. M. Barrie’s Peter and Wendy by providing a deeper understanding of the events leading to an orphan becoming the infamous Peter Pan.
On April 10, he will appear at Once Upon a Toy at the Downtown Disney Marketplace from 4pm-6pm. Then on April 11, he will appear at The Writer’s Stop inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios, from 9:30am-11:30am.
Both events are free to attend, though you will need park admission for The Writer’s Stop appearance.
Wristbands will be distributed to guests on the day of the signing with each purchase of Kingdom Keepers VI: Dark Passage, allowing the wristband owner to get two books signed. A wristband from the appearance location is required to meet Pearson. A limited number of wristbands will be available the day of the signing. Once the wristbands have been distributed, the line to meet the author will close.
Author Ridley Pearson, who has written the popular Kingdom Keepers series, is set to release the next installment, Kingdom Keepers V: Shell Game. To celebrate, he will be returning to Walt Disney World to sign copies of the new book.
Pearson will first appear at Downtown Disney on March 29, from 4pm to 6pm, at Once Upon a Toy. The store is located in the Marketplace side, near Earl of Sandwich.
The store will begin selling copies of the book starting at 3pm, and a wristband will be issued with purchase. That will allow the purchaser to meet Pearson and get the book signed.
He will appear the next day, March 30, from 9:30am to 11:30am, at The Writer’s Stop, inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios. They will again use the wristband system for autographs, and park admission is required to attend this appearance.
On Monday, April 4, Pearson will be signing copies of the new book, along with other volumes of the Kingdom Keepers series, at Once Upon a Toy at the Downtown Disney Marketplace. He’ll be there from 4pm to 7pm.
On Tuesday, April 5, the author will be at The Writer’s Stop in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, from 2pm to 5pm. Since this is inside the theme park, you do need park admission to gain access to this appearance.
For both appearances, a wrist band is necessary to meet the author and they are given out only with purchase of the new book (Once upon a Toy is actually selling the book a day early than any other bookstore in the country).
Once the wristbands are gone, the lines will be closed – there is no standby. Wristband supplies are limited and not guaranteed.
