Voodoo Doughnut is now officially open at Universal CityWalk at Universal Orlando and is the first Voodoo Doughnut on the east coast. Co-founders Kenneth “Cat Daddy” Pogson and Tres Shannon led the celebration, where – for the very first time live in person – they introduced the brand icon, the Baron of Voodoo Doughnut.

Don’t forget Orlando Main Street Restaurant Week is still in effect until August 13. Participating restaurants are offering a select prix fixe menu with price points of $5 to $30. Read our post from last week for more information.
As part of the new developments at the corner of International Drive and Sand Lake Rd, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers will be opening their first Orlando restaurant on July 7.
To help celebrate the grand opening of the new restaurant, Red Robin will donate all sales of its signature Freckled Lemonade® from July 7 to July 13, to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding cures for all kids with cancer. The lemonade is a blend of sweet strawberries and tangy Minute Maid® Lemonade, is available for $3.99 with free refills.
