During the Five-Year Pulse Remembrance Week, which will take place from June 5 to June 12, 2021, a variety of community-wide activities are being held.
In 2016, the city of Orlando was changed forever by the shooting at Pulse nightclub. The loss of 49 souls from the LGBT and LatinX communities reverberated around the world. The way that Orlando and Central Florida came together as one community was something we’ll never forget either.
Here is the list of events planned for the week:
June 12, 2020, marks the four year anniversary of the horrible Pulse tragedy, and due to current events, the annual Pulse Remembrance Ceremony will be held online this year.
On June 12, 2016, Orlando witnessed a devastating tragedy, and in honor of the 49 lives lost, and all of those affected by the Pulse tragedy, The City of Orlando deemed June 12 Orlando United Day – A Day of Love and Kindness.
As we approach Orlando United Day 2019, venues around the city will mark the three-year anniversary with memorials, exhibits, and more.
