LEGOLAND Florida Announces DUPLO Valley Expansion to Open Spring 2014

LEGOLAND Florida announced this week that it will expand its toddler-dedicated area with new attractions, and the renamed DUPLO Valley area will open Spring 2014.

LEGOLAND Florida DUPLO Valley trainAmong the new attractions will be the DUPLO Train, where toddlers can ride a train to explore countryside-themed scenery passing through farms, fishing holes and campgrounds. There will also be a mini-tractor ride, and a water play area with water spouts and a soft deck for safety.

Another key element will be the existing DUPLO Barn, which will feature significant enhancements to allow kids to play indoors in the comfort of air conditioning – very handy during Florida’s hot summers. Existing attractions will be enhanced with additional DUPLO farm-themed play areas and a toddler room where parents can relax while kids build with DUPLO bricks.

The barn’s Baby Care Center will continue to provide all the amenities to take care of young children. It offers private nursing stations, rocking chairs, microwaves, bottle warmers, high chairs, changing stations, Wi-Fi, cell phone charging stations and more.

DUPLO Valley will be aimed at toddlers ages 2 to 5.

During construction, park guests with toddlers are encouraged to explore the many other attractions the entire family can enjoy including the newest attractions in The LEGO World of Chima presented by Cartoon Network. Legoland Florida to Open World of Chima Park Expansion Summer 2013

worldofchima-logoThis week, Legoland Florida announced they will once again be expanding, with a new area dedicated to the World of Chima opening this summer.

The expansion is based on the popular Legends of Chima Lego product line, whose storyline deals with tribes of mystical animal warriors.

Once inside the World of Chima, guests will embark on a journey in search of a mystical energy source through a highly-interactive water ride experience, the Quest for CHI. Guests can also try their hand at an action-packed SpeedorzTM Arena, meet the beloved Chima characters and be transported to the Land of Chima with a new 4D movie, which are all part of the family-friendly Chima experience. There will also be character meet-and-greets.

In addition to the park expansion, there will be an animated Chima TV series on the Cartoon Network, which is presenting the new area at Legoland Florida. The channel will also have a presence in the expansion via video screens showing other network programming.

This is the third expansion for the park, which opened in 2011. World of Chima is expected to add about 50 jobs to the Legoland work force.
