Walt Disney World Fetes Packer QB Aaron Rodgers with Parade

After helping his Green Bay Packer teammates win the Super Bowl yesterday, MVP Aaron Rodgers yelled into the camera, “I’m going to Disney World!”

He kept his promise, appearing this afternoon – less than 24 hours after his win – in a parade down Main Street U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom.

It was a slightly gloomy day, but that didn’t matter to the hundreds of Packer fans that lined the parade route. Special gold football balloons with the Green Bay logo could be spotted everywhere.

Mickey, dressed up in his football finest, rode with Rodgers throughout the park, perched on top of the backseat of a red convertible. They were accompanied in the parade by the NFL Youth Football players.

Yesterday in Dallas, Rodgers helped lead the Green Bay Packers to a 31-25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was  24 for 39 for 304 yards and threw three touchdowns in the Packers’ Super Bowl win.

The rest of the team couldn’t make it, though, since they were busy back home in Green Bay with a parade and celebrations with the people of the city.

Here are some great photos from the parade today: Read more

Super Bowl MVP Aaron Rodgers to Celebrate at Walt Disney World with Parade on February 7, 2011

“I’m going to Disney World!” shouted Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers following his team’s win at Super Bowl XLV.

Named MVP after the Packers’ 31-25 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, Rodgers quickly filmed the iconic commercial. And come to Disney World he will.

Still basking in the glow of helping his team bring the Lombardi trophy back home to Green Bay, Rodgers will appear in a parade down Main Street U.S.A. at the Magic Kingdom.

The event is supposed to start at 2:15pm, and we’ll bring you photos tomorrow.

Who else is excited that the Pack won?
