Saturday, October 26, the Orlando Solar Bears will bring back Star Wars Night during their game against the Gwinnett Gladiators at the Amway Center.
The team will wear commemorative jerseys, and there will be opportunities to meet Star Wars characters. Last season’s jerseys will be auctioned off, as well.
But that’s not all. The first 3000 fans in attendance will get SHADES Trick or Treat Halloween bags, and there will be a Halloween costume contest with prizes.
More, you say? There will also be a special intermission wedding ceremony.
I think there will be a hockey game you can watch, too. * wink *
Tickets for Saturday’s game start at $15 and are available online and at the Amway Center box office.

The ECHL (East Coast Hockey League) has chosen the Orlando Solar Bears to host the league’s 2015 All-Star game at the Amway Center.
The All-Star festivities will also include the official induction ceremony for the eighth class of the ECHL Hall of Fame.
The Solar Bears completed their first season in the ECHL in 2012-13, finishing third in the league, so this is a great honor. It’ll also be great for the city of Orlando.
The past nine ECHL All-Star Games have generated more than $1 million each for the local economy as guests, players, coaches and fans occupy hundreds of hotel rooms and spend three days in the host city.
“On behalf of our ownership team, staff, season ticket holders, sponsors, fans and the Orlando community, we want to thank the ECHL Board of Governors for their vote of confidence in our ability to host one of the League’s signature events,” said Solar Bears Managing Partner and CEO Jason Siegel.
The 2013-2014 Orlando Solar Bears schedule begins on October 18, 2013.
