Central Florida Sounds of Freedom Band and Color GuardCentral Florida Sounds of Freedom Band and Color Guard, Orlando’s only LGBT+ marching and concert band, presents their new concert; British Invasion: God Save the Queens! on Sunday, October 12, at the Orlando Repertory Theatre.

God Save the Queens features all-female ensemble “Nothing but Treble” from Orlando Gay Chorus and “The Performers” of Harwood Watson Dance Studio. The set list for this high-energy concert covers pops, classical and rock favorites from hundreds of years of British composers.

It is also an official Come Out With Pride event.

Tickets are only $10 in honor of Come Out with Pride’s 10th anniversary and can be purchased online at CentralFloridaSoundsofFreedom.com or at the door. The event starts at 1pm.

Join Dr. Phillips Charities and the Orlando Philharmonic for a free outdoor concert of “Peter & the Wolf and Other Musical Stories” in Loch Haven Park on Saturday, April 12, 2014.

Orlando PhilharmonicPre-concert activities begin at 4:30pm. The concert itself starts at 7:30pm, and the Orlando Philharmonic will be joined by Mr. Richard and the Pound Hounds, and special guests from Orlando Repertory Theatre.

It is suggested to bring blankets to sit on. There is plenty of parking in and around Loch Haven Park.

Meet Cast Members from Once at the Orlando Repertory Theatre on January 30, 2014

OnceThe theater production of Once is currently playing at the Bob Carr P.A.C., and on January 30, cast members from the show will be making an appearance at the Orlando Repertory Theatre.

The cast members will sign autographs, take pictures, and talk about life on the road during this free event, which runs from 5pm-6pm.

The classic holiday TV special Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer has been turned into a musical, and it is being performed by Orlando Repertory Theatre through December 29.

This stage version features all the great characters and songs from the classic television special. From fleeing the Abominable Snow Monster to saving Christmas, join Rudolph and his friends Hermey, Clarice, and Yukon Cornelius as their adventures show us that what sets you apart can be a very good thing.

Tickets are $18 for adults, $16 for seniors, and $12 for children, and can be purchased online. Shows are at 2pm and 5:30pm each Saturday and Sunday (Dec 8, 26 & 27 2pm only).

Orlando Philharmonic and Orlando Repertory Theatre to Perform Free Concert on October 20

The Orlando Repertory Theatre and the Orlando Philharmonic are joining forces to celebrate their 10th and 20th seasons on Saturday, October 20, 2012, in a patriotic outdoor event.

The Star Spangled Birthday Concert” will take place at Loch Haven Park (on Princeton Ave, near Hwy 17-92) from 5pm to 9pm.

There will be pre-concert entertainment by Mr. Richard and the Pound Hounds at 6pm, followed by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, featuring The REP Power Chords, at 7pm.

There will also be food trucks providing eats and drinks, and an instrument petting zoo.

“The Star Spangled Birthday Concert” is an alcohol-free event, suitable for the whole family. Attendees may bring their own picnics and seating, and pets are allowed if on a leash.

Free parking will be available in the Florida Hospital parking garage on Alden Road, near the intersection of Alden and Fairbanks. There are other pay garage locations near the park.
