Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF invites the public to a free Open House on Saturday, August 23.
During this event, theater staff will lead guests on a tour of the building, providing them with behind the scenes access, insider info, and fun facts about Orlando Shakes. Visitors will also enjoy a sneak peek rehearsal of this fall’s highly anticipated production, Les Misérables, and may enter to win tickets and prizes from Orlando Shakes and other local arts organizations.
Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF celebrates its 25th season with its 2013-2014 lineup, and is holding an open house on August 24 to celebrate.
Staff members will take guests on a tour of the scene shop, costume shop, and four performance spaces, offering historical information, providing behind-the-scenes access, and sharing fun facts about the Theater.
Guests will also enjoy music, crafts, and theater games, as well as an open rehearsal of the company’s upcoming production of The Taming of the Shrew. I’m told there will also be complimentary birthday cupcakes for guests.
Sponsored by Seaside National Bank, the celebration is free to the public and takes place between 11am and 2pm. inside the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center in Loch Haven Park (812 East Rollins Street).
