3 Doors Down broke big on the music scene with their debut 1996 album The Better Life. It went six-times platinum, largely based on the hit single, “Kryptonite.” They went on to have a slew of hit Top 20 singles, including “When I’m Gone,” “It’s Not My Time” and “Here Without You.”
One of the most popular events at Universal Orlando is the annual Mardi Gras celebration, and a big part of that are the concerts by headlining acts of all genres.
Universal Orlando has just released the headliner concert line-up for this year’s Mardi Gras, which will run from February 7 to April 18, on Saturdays, as well as select Fridays and Sundays. Singer Robin Thicke has been rescheduled by Universal Orlando for June 7, which will also extend the park’s Mardi Gras celebrations by one week.
Thicke, who had a major hit last year with “Blurred Lines,” was supposed to perform on February 22, but cancelled the day before claiming he had lost his voice. It was later found out that it was due to problems in his family life that are now tabloid fodder.
At any rate, the parade will start that night at 8:15pm, followed by Robin Thicke on stage at 9pm. Mardi Gras festivities are included in regular park admission.
R&B singer Robin Thicke has cancelled his appearance at this weekend’s Mardi Gras celebration at Universal Orlando.
He was scheduled to appear tomorrow, January 22, as the headliner at the theme park’s but cancelled this show and the one in Atlanta tonight due to illness.

I have been looking forward to going to Universal Studios in Orlando, and am very sorry that my concert there tomorrow now has to be canceled. I apologize to everyone.”
His concert will be rescheduled to a later date, but in the meantime, Universal will continue to hold tomorrow’s Mardi Gras, with the parade and a performance by an authentic New Orleans band.
Universal Orlando Resort comes alive this spring with its annual Mardi Gras celebration, featuring 20 nights of concerts from the biggest names in music, starting February 8, 2014.

The band formed in 2005, and quickly earned a following through massive touring, including the Vans Warped Tour. Among their hit singles are “The Great Escape,” “Love Drunk,” and “Two is Better Than One.”
In December 2012, Boys Like Girls released their newest album, Crazy World. It’s full of infectious pop rock songs, like the first single, “Be Your Everything,” and my favorite track, “Life of the Party.” I thought it was one of the best albums of 2012.
The concert, along with the Mardi Gras parade, are included with regular admission to Universal Studios, including annual passes. There is also a specially discounted “after 5pm” ticket available that will let you in for the Mardi Gras festivities.
