In this week’s Orlando dining news round-up: new brunch offerings, new openings, and two closings. Are you hungry? Let’s dive in…
DoveCote debuts a new Sunday brunch on November 6. The brasserie-style brunch menu features a variety of French-inspired dishes by Chef Clay, including his signature Croque Madame , Chicken & Sausage Casserole, Pearl Sugar Waffle and, of course, a classic French Fine Herb Omelet. Costs are a la carte.
Shake Shack, one of NYC’s most famous burger chains is heading to Orlando and will open their first location in Winter Park on July 30.
The ShackBurger is their version of a cheeseburger, and is insanely popular with their customers. You can get it as a single or double, or upgrade to the SmokeShack, which adds bacon and a chopped cherry pepper. There is also a vegetarian ‘ShroomBurger with a crisp-fried portobello instead of meat, and several hot dog options, too.
In addition to their burgers, Shake Shack is also known for its frozen custard shakes, which are hand-spun daily. Signature flavors include the Fair Shake, an icy coffee flavored treat that is also made with certified 100 percent organic Arabica fair-trade beans. This location will also serve beer brewed especially for the eatery, and wine, as well.
Shake Shack is located at the intersection of Morse Blvd. and US Highway 17-92, which is also home to the new Trader Joe’s. So while the food will be a big draw, expect more parking headaches trying to get into the restaurant.
