This time of year, we’d normally be offering up a huge list of Easter dining and family events for you to enjoy, but 2021 is different with COVID-19 and the quarantine.

Online retailer ThinkGeek has announced it will open its first physical retail store at the Florida Mall on September 25.

Today (July 1), the new Crayola Experience opens at the Florida Mall in Orlando, to entertain families. Yesterday, my family and I had a chance to preview the Crayola Experience during a media event.

I was unsure what to expect as this is a new experience in Orlando. The original Crayola Experience, however, has been open for over 18 years in Easton, Pennsylvania, and this Orlando location marks their second location. So we went with an open mind, as well as a lot of excitement. Who doesn’t love Crayola, right?

Crayola Experience at Florida Mall Close to Opening with Main Signage Now Up

The Crayola Experience at Florida Mall will be opening this summer, and they’ve now got the main signage up on the building.

Crayola Experience at Florida Mall At Crayola Experience Orlando, families will enjoy many of the brand’s signature attractions – such as “Wrap it Up!” where you can name and wrap an authentic Crayola crayon and “Be a Star,” where you can star in your very own coloring page – as well as some exciting new attractions that will debut in Orlando.

The attraction also will have a retail store where guests will discover hundreds of unique Crayola products and souvenirs only found at Crayola Experience.

This will be the second retail experience store for Crayola. We’ll let you know as soon as we discover an opening date.

Florida Mall Adds to American Girl Store Grand Opening on November 15 and 16, 2014 #agorlando

 As we wrote previously, the hugely popular American Girl store is opening an outpost in Orlando at the Florida Mall the weekend of November 15 and 16. To make the celebrations even bigger, the mall itself will be holding an array of activities during the opening.

Beginning at 9am, kids can enjoy an array of activities near the American Girl store, which will include live performances, arts and craft stations, a social media zone, food trucks and so much more. In addition, families will be entertained by elements like stilt walkers and balloon artists before entering the store.

The Florida Mall will also be hosting activity stations inside the mall from 11am-6pm on Saturday and 12pm-5pm on Sunday. This will include carnival row with carnival games and more near Buca di Beppo, Mad Science activity stations near Dillards, live DJ’s playing the kids favorite tunes near Old Navy and Center Court, arts and crafts near Center Court and more.
