Earlier this week, the Orlando Magic got the go-ahead from the City Council to invest $200+ million into an new sports entertainment complex that will be built across the street from Amway Center.
The mixed-used venue will feature a corporate headquarters for the Magic, as well as a six-story office building with shopping and dining options, a hotel with a conference center, a residential tower, two parking garages, and a landscaped pedestrian plaza with multiple giant video screens.
