Just in time for National Water Park Day (July 28), TripAdvisor has announced the winners of its Travelers’ Choice® awards for Water Parks, and the list features several Central Florida water parks.

This summer, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will be celebrating the upcoming release of the Disney Channel Original Movie “Teen Beach 2” with a daily “Teen Beach 2: Beach Party.”
The beach party takes place on the shore of the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, and features a DJ spinning retro tunes, beach-themed games, hula hoop contests and more. Actual cast members will not be in attendance.
As part of Walt Disney World’s Limited Time Magic promotion, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will be hosting a daily Teen Beach Movie Dance Party for guests.
At various times throughout each day through September 1, there will be a DJ spinning remixes of retro tunes, beach-y-themed games and some “bikers” and “surfers” to party with guests, all on Typhoon Lagoon’s main beach and wave pool area.
The promotion is based on the Disney Channel film, Teen Dance Movie, starring Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell. It premieres on the channel July 19. It’s described as a modern take on the classic beach party movies of the 60s.
The dance party is included in regular admission to the water park.
