Marine Artist Wyland to Make Appearances at Walt Disney World May 10-11, 2013

wyland-belowsurfaceConservationist, surfer and marine artist, Wyland will be making two appearances at Walt Disney World on May 10 and 11, 2013.

He will appear Friday, May 10, at Wyland Galleries at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. He will then appear on Saturday, May 11, at Wyland Galleries at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. Both appearances are from 6pm-10pm.

Join the artist for an evening of art and conservation as he unveils his newest works of art and shares the latest on his travels, news, and environmental outreach projects. These appearances coincides with his 35th anniversary as a professional artist and his 20th anniversary of the Wyland Foundation, which uses art and science education to inspire kids to be interested in ecology and water conservation.

Neither appearance requires park admission and are free to attend.

Big River Grille at Walt Disney World to Hold Tapping Event January 31

bigriver-tapMost people don’t know there is a place at Walt Disney World that brews and sells its own beer. It’s called Big River Grille & Brewing Works, and it can be found at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort.

On January 31, 2013, Big River Grille & Brewing Works is holding a “Tapping Party” as they introduce their newest brew, Soleil I.P.A. It’s described as “a copper-colored, American-style India Pale Ale with a pronounced piney and citrus hop aroma.”

The “Tapping Party” will run from 4pm to 6pm, and guests can enjoy passed appetizers during the event.

This brew will be available in the restaurant until March 3, 2013.
