Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, a family-friendly Halloween party done Disney-style at the Magic Kingdom, is adding a new stage show for its 2015 dates.
“Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” will take place on the Castle Forecourt Stage and feature the mischievous Sanderson Sisters from Disney’s “Hocus Pocus” movie. The sisters were last seen in the 1993 comedy film, but now they’re back for one night during the Halloween season.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returns to scare families at Magic Kingdom from September 1 through October 31.
On 26 select nights during this time period, the event will take place after-hours with guests mingling with Disney characters in their favorite Halloween costumes. Partygoers can also show their Disney Side and dress up in favorite costumes.
Entertainment includes the twice-nightly “Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade” led by the infamous Headless Horseman, at 8:15pm and 10:30pm, and “HalloWishes,” a green and orange fireworks spectacle complete with Disney villains, caps the evening festivities at 9:30pm.
Disney villains take center stage with “Villains Mix & Mingle – Live on Stage” castle show; and Club Villain, an all-new nightly character dance party experience takes over the Diamond Horseshoe Saloon in Frontierland. Mischievous villains will be available for guests to meet all night long in locations throughout the park.
Last year, Walt Disney World held a special night time party dedicated to Disney Villains, and it was a huge smash. This year, the party returns, but it’ll be a bit different.
Villains Unleashed will take place August 23 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It will once again be a nighttime event, but this year, it will be a separately ticketed event, similar to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Hours will be 8pm to 1am.
This one-night party will feature up close encounters with a wide variety of Disney villains, special shows and dance parties, and exclusive merchandise, food and beverages. The evening will also feature a new “Villainy In The Skies” fireworks spectacular, and Fantasmic! with a special villains pre-show.
As part of it’s Limited Time Magic promotion, Walt Disney World will be hosting a one day event dedicated to its villains on September 13.
That day happens to also be Friday the 13th, and on this day, from 8pm to 1am, many of Disney’s most dastardly villains will be part of the “Unleash the Villains” dance party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The “Lord of the Dead,” Hades, will be keeping the park open until the 13th hour, with his henchmen, an interactive DJ, house band, and dancers. At the witching hour (midnight), a special “Villainy in the Sky” fireworks will light up the sky.
Maleficent, Cruella, Captain Hook, Jafar and other Disney villains will be part of this evil dance party, hanging out for greetings and autographs with guests.
There will be plenty of limited-edition collectibles for sale, as well.
This event is included with regular park admissions.
