This afternoon, Disney Parks will live stream “Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire,” live from Cinderella’s Castle at Magic Kingdom.
The new stage show debuted last month, and brings beloved Disney stories to life in a spectacular performance that features an original song, memorable music, dancing, delightful costumes and magical special effects.
This past weekend (September 13-14), the Kissimmee area was visited by KABOOM! Play Together Tour, an event where families gathered to build a stronger bond by completing a series of fun challenges. It was brought to us by Disney Parks and held at Mill Run Park, an adorable place with a wide variety of playground activities for the kids to enjoy every day of the week.
Because the parking for Mill Run Park is rather small, barely enough room for ten cars, and there weren’t any signs for event parking, my fiancé ended up parking our car on the side of the road between the Mill Run and a La Petit Academy. I really didn’t mind because the majority of the walk was shaded by luscious trees and it wasn’t far from where the event was set up. Once we got there, the Disney VoluntEARS were very helpful in getting us to the registration table, which was a breeze to get through since we preregistered. After we signed some paperwork, they gave us karabiners, a small puzzle, and we had our choice of orange or purple reusable water bottles.
The KaBOOM! Play Together Tour Powered by Disney Parks will allow families to play for free when it comes to Mill Run Park in Kissimmee the weekend of September 13 and 14.
This state-of-the-art, pop-up play course features team-building stations, games that build mental and physical play prowess, and an incredible family-friendly obstacle course. Your entire family will learn how balanced and active play helps children thrive.
Feel free to show your spirit by dressing up as a team. The obstacle course takes about 10 minutes to complete. You’ll enter the course within the one-hour time block you select on your registration. Afterwards, there will be more fun festivities for the whole family.
One of the most anticipated theme park openings of 2014 is the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom, and this week, Walt Disney World released a video ride-through of the upcoming attraction.
It’s not designed to be a thrill ride like Big Thunder Mountain, but it is definitely more exciting than a rollercoaster like Goofy’s Barnstormer.
No opening date has been announced yet, but expect this mine train to be open for business sometime in the next few months. In the meantime, you can enjoy this virtual ride on the new attraction, courtesy of Disney Parks.
It’s an annual TV tradition that thrills kids of all ages, and this year, the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade will be aired December 25, on ABC, for the 29th year.
Filmed a few weeks ago at both Walt Disney World in Florida, and Disneyland Resort in California, the parade features marching bands, musical numbers, and appearances by various Disney characters.
There are also musical performances by the likes of Lady Antebellum, Backstreet Boys, Colbie Caillat, Brad Paisley, TobyMac, Phillip Phillips, and Yolanda Adams.
Nick Cannon hosts from Walt Disney World, with co-host Maria Menounos, and Mario Lopez hosts from Disneyland.
The Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade airs starting at 10am (EST). Visit disney.go.com/christmasparade for more information.
