All-Night Extravaganza Party Returns to Magic Kingdom Memorial Day Weekend 2014

One of the most popular Walt Disney World events of 2013 was when the Magic Kingdom stayed open for 24 hours, and Disney Parks has announced they will be doing it again this Memorial Day Weekend.

They made the announcement via a tweet that really did contain 140 characters…Disney characters, that is.

Disney Character Hashtag

Billed as the “Rock Your Disney Side Party,” both Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Resort in California will be open from 6am on Friday, May 23 to 6am on Saturday, May 24 (local park time).

Guests attending are encouraged to “show their Disney side” by dressing for event as their favorite Disney hero or villain. The celebration on both coasts will also showcase the good vs. evil of classic Disney stories, including character meet-and-greets throughout the parks, special entertainment, event merchandise and special food and beverage offerings.

Last year’s event drew a lot of people to the parks, so be prepared for the crowds if you go.

Are you looking forward to attending? If so, will you dress up and what character will you embody?

As a bonus, here is a video of the Disney characters gathering for the announcement, courtesy of Disney Parks:

Contributing voices to the film are Kristen Bell, Alan Tudyk, Josh Gad, and Idina Menzel.
