Parking Access Rendering for Disney Springs Released to Public

This week, Disney released an artist rendering of what the parking and traffic will look like when Downtown Disney finally transitions into Disney Springs.

If you’ve been to Downtown Disney at all this year, you’ve no doubt encountered the congested traffic and parking problems caused by the current construction happening in the area.

According to the final plans, the Disney Springs project will not only include two multilevel parking garages (one is nearly finished on the West Side of the complex), but a new interchange from I-4 that will offer guests direct access to Disney Springs, which is what I think the above artist rendering depicts.

Out and About: Random Downtown Disney Newsbits and Photos – March 2014

While we were out at Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World this week, we noticed some changes and new construction happening, so I thought I’d do a quick round-up post on what we saw.

The field area between Bongo’s and the soon-to-be-open Starbucks in the West Side area is now walled off. Apparently a Food Truck Park will be opening there this summer. This will probably be home to the four trucks that currently make the rounds around Downtown Disney. No word if Disney is planning on introducing any more trucks to debut here, though.
