After more than 40 years in show business, Cher has delivered many hits – both in music and in film. Her last tour, first called The Farewell Tour, wound up three years later in April 2005, and was humorously retitled the Never Can Say Goodbye Tour. Fans just didn’t want her to go. So she isn’t.
Closer To The Truth is Cher’s first album in 11 years, and it already has a dance smash in the song, “Woman’s World.” On the album, Cher acccepted help from friends, such as Pink, who supplied two songs (“Lie to Me” and “I Walk Alone”), and Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters, who duets on “Take It Like a Man.”
The “Dressed to Kill” tour starts March 22 in Phoenix, and will roll into Orlando two months later. An opening act has yet to be announced, but the show will be packed with hits from throughout her career. I saw her twice on the last tour, and she was phenomenal.
