Aiming to fight hunger for a third year, Beth McKee and the Swamp Sistas Songwriter Circle will launch the La La Summer Hope Virtual Food Drive at Casselberry’s Earth Fest in Lake Concord Park on Saturday, April 28.
Admission to the Earth Fest and the Swamp Sistas Songwriter Circle is free.
The campaign will run from April 28 until the end of the La La May 19 at Orlando Fringe, where cash and check donations will also be accepted.
Central Florida musician Peter Alden held a release party on April 11 for his new CD, Kingdom Classics, and I was invited to enjoy the evening with his many friends and fans.
The event took place at Gardell Brothers Pizza in Hunters Creek, and the place was packed. I don’t think there was an empty place to sit anywhere.
Central Florida musician Peter Alden has just released his newest CD, Kingdom Classics, and will hold a release party and dinner for it on April 11 at Gardell Bros Pizza in Hunter’s Creek.
The CD is Alden’s tribute to the classic Disney songs he loves, and he lends a touch of rockabilly to them to give them an original feel.
Orlando’s Emily Kopp is one of my favorite hometown musicians, and her new video is a perfect example why.
She covers the Smokey Robinon classic, “Cruisin,” and really puts her own spin on the song, while retaining the heart and soul of the original.
