It was a busy Sunday in Orlando, and we started ours at the Central Florida Home + Garden Show at the Orange County Convention Center.
On the way in, we spotted several local food trucks, so we decided to have lunch here. Among those we saw were The Crepe Company, Sweet City Gelato, Curbside Chef, London Fish n Chippy, and Yum Yum Cupcake.
As a preview of the upcoming Central Florida Home + Garden Show, I was invited to join several bloggers at Barnie’s CoffeeKitchen in Winter Park to sample some of their menu offerings and hear about the Edible Orlando food stage at the show.
We started with several different wines, and got seated at the lovely outdoor patio area in back. I also tried two of their sparkling wine concoctions, a Spiced Apple Royale (so yummy!) and a Ginger Ruby Red, made with flavored ice in a glass of sparkling Cava wine.
Cristian Moore, producer of the Central Florida Home + Garden Show, gave us an introduction to his event, and what to expect. Then Jonathan Smiga, President and Chief Executive Officer of Barnie’s CoffeeKitchen, told us the history of his company, and then invited us to sample dishes served on its lunch and dinner menus.

Hundreds of experts will be found under one roof, and there will be daily seminars from people like Ahmed Hassan of DIY Network’s “Yard Crashers” (appearing Saturday and Sunday), as well as talks focusing on subjects like couponing, organizing, and DIY home projects.
