Central Florida musician Peter Alden held a release party on April 11 for his new CD, Kingdom Classics, and I was invited to enjoy the evening with his many friends and fans.
The event took place at Gardell Brothers Pizza in Hunters Creek, and the place was packed. I don’t think there was an empty place to sit anywhere.
Central Florida musician Peter Alden has just released his newest CD, Kingdom Classics, and will hold a release party and dinner for it on April 11 at Gardell Bros Pizza in Hunter’s Creek.
The CD is Alden’s tribute to the classic Disney songs he loves, and he lends a touch of rockabilly to them to give them an original feel.
Busy next Saturday?
Like checking out local rock bands?
Then you’ll want to be at the House of Blues on March 26, 2011, for The Lighter Exchange CD release party.
The band was formed in 2006 by singer-songwriter Christian Wilson, and the current line-up also includes my buddy Jeremy Hagen, along with Michael Rollo, Jacob Morton, and Clayton Senne.
Their new release is called “Beneath The Endlessness,” and while I haven’t heard it yet, I did like the tunes I heard on their MySpace page.
The show is all ages and also features the bands Stockhom, Chasing Thrill and Falling for Sarah on the bill. It costs only $5 to get in, but if you check out the flyer to the right, you’ll see how you can get tickets for free.
See you there!
