Florida Strawberry Festival Brings the Yum to Plant City Feb 26 – March 8, 2015

It’s a bit of a drive from Orlando, but berry fans won’t want to miss this year’s Florida Strawberry Festival down in Plant City. Florida Strawberry FestivalThis year’s event runs February 26 through March 8.

As the name implies, the strawberry is the main attraction at this fair. There are so many ways to enjoy this sweet treat at the fest, but diehards say you must do at least one shortcake version. Also, buy your flat of strawberries to take home from the vendors set up outside the fest. You’ll pay less.

The second reason to attend the Florida Strawberry Festival is the nightly headliner concerts. Admission is free for grandstand seating, but those are first-come, first-serve. If there is someone you really want to see, it’s worth it to pay for reserved seating.

Here is the line-up of this year’s headliners and reserved ticket prices:

New Kids on the Block Return to Orlando June 21 With Guests 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men

nkotb-98d-b2m

Taking over an episode of The View last week, legendary pop artists New Kids on the Block announced they are headlining a Summer 2013 tour that will bring them to the Amway Center in Orlando on June 21.

Joining them on “The Package Tour” will be fellow multi-platinum pop artists 98 Degrees (their first tour in 12 years), and R&B multi-platinum trio Boyz II Men.

“Ladies, we’re coming for you,” said NKOTB member Donnie Wahlberg. “This is going to be the craziest year yet-the single, the album, the tour with 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men … We can’t wait to give fans ‘The Package!'”

NKOTB will release a new CD, called 10, on April 2, 2013. The first single, “Remix (I Like The),” will drop at the end of January.

Tickets for the show run $27.50 to $89.50 (plus fees/tax). However, the die-hard fan will want to purchase “The Total Package” VIP package, which includes a meet-and-greet with NKOTB, and one seat inside the security barricade (the stage design has seats built into the stage, so the show goes on around you). These tickets are $999. Steep but definitely a primo experience for a NKOTB fan. There is also a 98 Degree add-on VIP experience available, as well.

Tickets go on sale to the general public February 2, 2013. They are available online and at the Amway Center box office.
