Chef and owner John Rivers has opened a
4 Rivers Smokehouse in Kissimmee this month, adding to the brand’s growing list of Florida locations.
The Florida-based smokehouse brand is known for its cross-regional approach to barbecue with more than 10 styles of menu options, including Texas-Style 18-Hour Smoked Angus Brisket, Burnt Ends,Southern Pulled Pork, St. Louis Style Ribs and Smoked Chicken. These are available as sandwiches, dinner plates, signature stackers, and more.
Starting this Sunday, July 12,
American Q restaurant will be kicking off a summer-long Full Throttle Sundays promotion.
Every Sunday through the end of August, visit American Q between 2pm and 6pm to fuel up with $2 Beef Rib Bites and $2 St. Louis Ribs, along with their famous Flatbet Buffett for only $19.95. That price excludes the table carvings, but there is still so much to enjoy.

City of Orlando is throwing the 9th edition of their annual Blues B-Q in downtown Orlando on Saturday, February 28.
From 4pm to 10pm, enjoy delicious BBQ for purchase from local vendors like Bubbalou’s Bodacious Bar-B-Que, Blazin’ Bones, Johnny Henry’s, Mister Bar-B-Que, and more.
There will also be live blues music courtesy of the legendary Betty Wright, and The Gerry Williams Band throught the event.
Last week I stopped in the
Wendy’s on S. OBT, and got a chance to check out the new look for the chain.
The revamp, which is taking place in Wendy’s throughout Orlando, favors neutral colors with deep red accents. The overall atmosphere seems more fast casual than fast food.

The event will take place in downtown Orlando, on Orange Ave in front of the Orange County Courthouse (entry point is at Livingston and Orange).
Blues B-Q runs from 4pm to 10pm, and it is totally free to attend.
One of the major annual events hosted by
SeaWorld Orlando and its sister park Busch Gardens in Tampa is the spring Bands, Brew & BBQ weekends.
During this event, each park hosts weekend concerts by big name headliners. SeaWorld Orlando’s include both classic rock and country, and run on both Saturday and Sunday.

All concerts are included in regular park admission, from single tickets to Fun Cards to annual passes, as long as they are valid at that park.
Each park will also be offering BBQ for sale, as well as host a beer garden area with at least 50 different brews for purchase.
What goes together better than blues music with an afternoon of great BBQ food?
If that rings true with you, then you need to get yourself downtown on Saturday, February 19, for the City of Orlando’s 5th Annual Blues-B-Q.
This year’s festival features a line-up of great blues musicians, headlined by the legendary Buddy Guy. Also performing will be Cece Teneal and The Selwyn Birchwood Blues Band.
The BBQ side of the event will be provided by Bubbalou’s Bodacious Bar-B-Que, Porkie’s Original BBQ, Blackwater BBQ, and Ole Skool BBQ.
The event is free to attend, but the BBQ and other edibles are pay for what you eat. It’s being held at Church Street Plaza, in front of the Amway Center from 4pm until 10pm.
