Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is opening their newest location in Orlando this weekend with a special deal for Central Florida residents.
The Orlando preview weekend will treat all Central Florida residents with a valid ID to a complimentary $10 Play Card to enjoy arcade and non-redemption prize games (additional restrictions may apply).
Bart is a family owned-and-operated bar, arcade, and gallery that has recently opened in the Mills 50 district of Orlando.
.
Chris and Adrian Brown have blended finely crafted beers with local art and classic arcade games. The name itself is a hybrid of Bar and Art.
Among the beers served at Bart are Abita, Dogfish Head, Angry Orchard, Harpoon, Cigar City, and Sierra Nevada. I wonder if they serve Leinenkugel’s…anyone know? They do also carry popular brews like Yuengling, PBR, and Miller 64.
The games are classics like Pac-Man, Centipede, Frogger, and, my personal favorite, Galaga.
Bart is located at 1205 N. Mills Ave and the phone is 407-796-2522. Hours are Wednesday through Sunday, from 4pm to 2am.
There seems to be a lot of businesses flocking to International Drive lately, and one of the latest is WhirlyDome, which will take over the old Sports Dominator building.
Inside will be two courts for playing WhirlyBall, a team-based hybrid of bumper cars, jai alai and basketball. There will be one on each floor. Also inside will be laser tag, arcade games, pool tables and a Formula One racing simulator by Evotek Engineering.
Those that work up an appetite on playing can slake their hunger and thirst at the Bloodhound Brew Pub & Eatery.
There are already venues operating in Chicago, Detroit, and Atlanta, but the company says this will be their first in such a tourist-heavy location. Sounds like fun for the whole family.
The WhirlyDome is located at 6464 International Drive, near Wet & Wild, and will be opening sometime this spring.
The venue will be holding a hiring event on April 2, 2012, from 11am to 6pm at the Ramada Plaza at 6500 International Drive. Positions available are bartenders, servers, hosts and hostesses, bussers, line cooks and dishwashers. For applications and more info, visit whirlydome.com.
