Pig Floyd's To Merge With Pigzza

Orlando restaurateur Thomas Ward has announced his two restaurants, Pig Floyd’s Urban Barbakoa, and Pigzza, both in the Mills 50 District, will soon be merged into one restaurant location.

Pig Floyd’s is shutting the doors on its original Mills 50 barbecue location at 1326 N. Mills Avenue after 12 years, and will merge its menu and staff into the Pigzza location at 1050 N. Mills Avenue.

Ward says Pig Floyd’s location will serve its final meals on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at 9pm.

The move caps a somewhat rocky year for Ward that included a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing and the closure of a Winter Park expansion.

The combined restaurant, dubbed Pig Floyd’s x Pigzza, will blend barbecue and pizza favorites with new items along with Pigzza’s full bar offerings. They will be dding Monday service, along with Late night slices till 2 am, and in the near future, breakfast service.
