Foodie favorite Pom Pom’s Teahouse & Sandwicheria restaurant in Orlando’s Milk District closed last October after 20 years, but owner Pom Moongauklang has kept busy with a variety of projects, including the just announced upcoming reopening of Pom Pom’s Sandwiches in Sanford.

Pom Pom’s will move into a space at Henry’s Depot food hall, which is also home to eateries such as Yugiri Ramen Project, Sweet & Salty Island Grindz (Hawaiian BBQ & Pacific Islander eats), and The Greenery Creamery (artisanal ice cream).

Moongauklang is partnering with Vinnie Nguyen (Vinny & Kory, Chin Restaurant, Pho on Wheels) and re-opening her classic eatery in Salvatore’s old stall inside Henry’s Depot.

She says the menu will include fan favorites like the Fu Manchu with Asian pulled pork and ginger-cranberry chutney, and Mama Ling’s Thanksgiving sandwich, along with some new creations.

Reportedly, the menu will be tested via pop-ups later this month, with an anticipated April opening for the new restaurant.

In a post to her Instagram, Moongauklang made the announcement: “We couldn’t resist!!! The timing, the space, and a great partner made this all happen!! #sanford, we are excited to be in your beautiful city !! LOOKING FORWARD TO SERVING THE COMMUNITY WITH SOME FUN AND DELICIOUS SANDWICHS ? ? SEE YOU SOOOOON !!! POM POMS IS BAAACK !!!

She will also continue having pop-ups of her other new venture called Pomisaan inspired by the food of the Isan region of Thailand, with an upcoming date at Ivanhoe Park Brewing on March 3, 2025.

She is also reportedly revamping her old Pom Pom’s space for another new concept, which we’ll know more about his fall. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear something.
